Water, light and sound shows with a lot of history
We are Oficina Técnica Buigas, architects of water and light. We create unique experiences in ornamental fountains and lighting through the use of water, light and sound. Since 1926, we have been exploring the limits of the elements to transform spaces and create the water and light installations of the future. We offer a comprehensive service, which includes the development of the idea, preparation of the project, installation of all the equipment and systems and even daily maintenance, providing a complete, functional solution.

Carlos Buigas, La Fuente
The architect of water and light or the poet engineer, as the multi-talented Carlos Buigas, creator of water and light sculptures, but also a writer and a poet, is known, revolutionised the sector by applying the period’s latest developments in electromechanics for ornamental purposes. He carried out projects in numerous Spanish towns which are still there today, and in many foreign countries throughout the majority of the 20th Century.
His Water-light theatres are famous the world over. His works form part of the historic events of cities all over the world such as: the universal exhibitions of Brussels and Lisbon, Rome, Paris, Santo Domingo, San Juan, etc.
Buigas created the first three types of fountain: illuminated water fountains, changing illuminated fountains and illuminated fountains without changes in form but with colour changes and vice versa.
