The cybernetic fountains of Salou are undoubtedly one of the most attractive tourist attractions of the summer (in fact, the season starts at Easter).
The fountain offers a spectacle of water, lights, and colors that will leave you amazed. Its combinations of colors, water, and lights are almost infinite and, even though the fountain has almost 210 different combinations, it takes more than 5 consecutive hours to see its full repertoire.
The construction date of this fountain dates back to 1973 by engineer Carles Buïgas, who was also the engineer of the Montjuic fountain in Barcelona.
The Salou fountain is a tourist icon of the city and has always been a source of tourist attraction for the municipality.
Salou Luminous Fountain Schedule
Below are the schedules of the fountain. This schedule may be affected by weather conditions, force majeure, or any reason related to the city council.
From one week before Easter until June 30: operates on Fridays, Saturdays, holidays, and eves of holidays at 6 PM and 10 PM.
From July 1 to September 10: operates every day at 7 PM, 8 PM, 9 PM, and 11 PM.
From September 11 to November 2: operates on Fridays, Saturdays, holidays, and eves of holidays at 9 PM.

In 2011, the fountain underwent rehabilitation, replacing the plastic pipes with stainless steel and the old lights with LED bulbs.
Since 2019, the cybernetic fountain of Salou offers a new show called “Symphony of Light,” which, in addition to water, light, and colors, also includes music. This musical base is composed of an electronic base created with classical instruments and special effects. The fountain has more than 1,000 water jets and a bridge in the central part of the fountain (you can walk through this bridge).
The Symphony of Light show is divided into 4 parts with a total duration of 15 minutes:
Genesis (introduction, calm, discovery: only water and light)
Duality (separation, contrast, and disorder: with water, light, and abstract video, only laser, plus water curtain)
Storm (chaos, search, transmutation: with water, light, and laser)
Peace (flow, light, bridges, destination: with all elements).
