Design
The fountains are placed along the stairs that link the two levels of the shopping centre, so it was decided to place marble cascades between the stairs and the planters, also staggered, that accompany them.
Due to the different sizes of the steps of the cascades by the stairs, the LEDs are distributed in different ways on the sides of the cascades, usually one on each step.
The presence of the vegetation in the planters and the sound of the water transform the shopping centre into a more biophilic space and therefore more pleasant for passers-by.
Execution
To build the waterfalls it was necessary to coordinate the installation and civil works phases.
- Civil works
The stairs and their waterproofing and the channel linings for the three waterfalls were carried out independently. In addition, pipes were laid for lighting, supply, drainage and overflow.
- Installation of hydraulic and electrical components
The bulk of the work in this part was carried out in the machine rooms where the assembly of the compensation tanks, the hydraulic supply and recirculation circuits, the water treatment systems and the electrical panels took place.
On the outside, the LEDs, the discharge manifold and the overflow were installed.
- Connection and commissioning:
Once the components were correctly positioned, the electrical connections of all the equipment were made to the control panel located in the technical room. This panel is equipped with our Syncroshow® control software, developed and improved over the last twenty years, which allows monitoring the status of the fountain at any time from any device with internet access.
Thanks to this software, all the components of the fountain are programmed to operate according to time and weather conditions, or according to the customer’s preferences.
This software has a very intuitive design that allows easy modification of parameters during maintenance.
Once all the components have been connected and the specific operating parameters have been programmed, tests are carried out for commissioning.
Sustainability
This project is carried out according to European sustainability criteria. It is a reliable technical solution, where the installation of robust, top-quality materials, such as the use of stainless steel for the hydraulic systems, stands out.
It is designed to make the most efficient use of all the resources required for its operation. The installation of low-power LED spotlights is one such way.
Water treatment makes it possible to reuse water, significantly reducing its consumption, which is reduced to a necessary contribution due to evaporation losses and partial replacements for the maintenance of the installation, always prioritising safety and water quality.
