Design
In this Project, it was tried to keep the shape of the existing fountain and some of its systems. It was proposed, due to its small size, to add just one more effect, which would give the fountain more options to play with, but without causing splashes.
The equipment installed to create this effect were OTB Crystalline jets. These systems create a transparent water effect, so that it looks like glass arches rather than water. In addition, this texture of the water causes light to be conducted through the hydraulic flow, which causes the luminous flow to follow the shape of the water creating very amusing figures.
Execution
For improving the facilities of this fountain, the following tasks needed to be carried out over a period of one month:
- Repair of current installation
The existing metal structure of the fountain was damaged, so it had to be repaired and refurbished. The joints were repaired, the stopcocks were cleaned, and the nozzles were replaced, giving them a new modern touch.
- Installation of hydraulic and electrical elements
A complete new water treatment system was installed, which it did not have before, thus reducing maintenance works thereafter.
The repaired collector and a new collector drive system were also installed. New multicolour LED lighting systems were installed in this structure.
Finally, as a visual novelty to the project, a Crystalline jet system was installed for the creation of dynamic and eye-catching games around the fountain.
- Connection and commissioning:
After the elements were in its place, the electrical connections of all the equipment to the control panel were made. This control panel is equipped with our Syncroshow® control software, which has been developed and improved over the last twenty years. Thanks to this software, it is possible to monitor the status of the fountain in real time from any device with internet access.
With the Syncroshow® software, all elements of the fountain are programmed to operate according to time, weather conditions or specific customer preferences. The intuitive design of its interface makes it easy to modify parameters during maintenance.
Once all the elements are connected and the specific operating parameters were programmed, tests were carried out to start up the source and ensure its correct operation.
Sustainability
This Project is being developed in accordance with European sustainability criteria, which involves taking measures to minimise environmental impact and maximise the efficiency of the resources used. Priority has been given to reliable technical solutions that promote sustainability, such as the reuse of the fountain’s existing structure.
Another outstanding feature is the use of robust, high-quality materials such as stainless steel in the hydraulics and LED lighting. These materials are more durable, which contributes to a longer service life of the installation and reduces the need for frequent replacements.
Resource efficiency has also been considered in the design. For example, the installation of low-power LED spotlights. This not only has a positive impact on the environment by reducing carbon emissions but can also generate significant savings in energy costs in the long term.
The water treatment implemented in the project is another key aspect of sustainability. It allows water to be reused, significantly reducing its consumption. Water is only added to compensate for evaporation losses and partial replacements for maintenance, always prioritising water safety and quality.
