The Luminous Fountain is located at the end of Jaume I Promenade, in Francesc Germà Square, which commemorates the man who led the popular movement demanding the creation of the municipality of Salou. It offers a show of water, light, and color displays. This fountain dates back to 1973 and was designed by engineer Carles Buïgas, who also created the Montjuïc Fountain in Barcelona. The combinations of lights and water jets can reach up to 210 variations in 90-second cycles, meaning it would take over 5 hours to watch the full program.
